The complex halts aging in these children, who survive for at least 300 more years, until the USS Enterprise discovers them in 2266. (TOS: "Miri")
- The Deep Space 9 holosuite programs "Julian Bashir, Secret Agent" and Program "Bashir 62", "Vic's Las Vegas Lounge" are set during this decade.
- A secret project in genetic engineering is launched by a group of scientists giving birth to a large number of genetically enhanced humans. 30 years later, these "supermen" would sieze power in over forty nations and start the Eugenics Wars. (TOS: "Space Seed") Assumes Khan was in his early 30s in the 1990s when exiled on the SS Botany Bay.
