Episodes
- VOY: "Future's End, Part I" (part)
- VOY: "Future's End, Part II" (part)
Events
- The Eugenics Wars come to an end, with a death toll of over 30 million lives. Khan Noonien Singh and over 50 of his followers are sent into exile aboard the SS Botany Bay. All remaining Augments are either killed or imprisoned and all then existing genetically engineered embryos are quarantined. (TOS: "Space Seed", Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, ENT: "Borderland", "Cold Station 12")
- Earth scientists from NASA find the first microscopic evidence of past life on Mars. (VOY: "Future's End, Part I")
- USS Voyager arrives in Earth orbit after been thrown back in time by the actions of Captain Braxton. (VOY: "Future's End, Part I" and "Future's End, Part II")
- Phineas Tarbolde, an author from Canopus Planet, writes the sonnet "Nightingale Woman". (TOS: "Where No Man Has Gone Before")
Notes
The dichotomy of the Eugenics Wars and the timeline seen in "Future's End" is difficult to rationalise. Even though the military conflict seems to have been restricted to the Eastern hemisphere, it seems odd that such a significant event would go unmentioned, even in Los Angeles. Popular fan opinion suggests that "Future's End" takes place in an alternate timeline. This is likely, since Voyager's actions in the "last" iteration of the causal loop ended in the Sol system not being destroyed, thereby providing the Temporal Integrity Commission ample opportunity to correct the contamination.
