The Murian War
- January 3 - The Chief Governor of the Murians meets with the heads of state of every Earth nation on Vulcan to discuss terms of peace.
- February 11 - War is ending. The Earth-Murian Treaty of Peace is signed.
- November - Zardog's terrorist cell is defeated. The Murians discover that Zardog's organization had tricked the Earth ships into attacking Gralg. The Murian War was intended to be a diversion to allow Zardog to carry out an attempt to overthow the Murian government.
