- This article is about actors in the Star Trek universe. For actors and actresses who appeared in, or gave voice to, roles in a Star Trek series, see the Performers category.
An actor was a person who acted in a dramatic production and who worked in film, television, theatre, or radio in that capacity. The term actress would sometimes be used to refer to a female in such a role.
During his studies of the philosophies of acting in the late 2360s - undertaken in order to improve his performance skills - Data found himself attracted to the concepts of method acting and studied the works of several famous method actors in order to improve his acting skills.
