Kelpiens farming on Kaminar

Agriculture, farming, or husbandry was the art, science, or practice of producing food, feed, fiber, and many other desired goods by the systematic raising of plants (from seeds to make beans and vegetables) and animals. On a large scale, such activities occurred on farms, ranchs, or vineyards, while small scale agriculture could be accomplished in gardens. Those that focused their economy on an agricultural base were identified as an agrarian society.

Kukulkan was an ancient being that visited Earth in the distant past and taught Humans new agricultural techniques. (TAS: "How Sharper Than a Serpent's Tooth")

In an alternate 2373, the crew of the USS Defiant helped the people on Gaia inhabitants farm the land. (DS9: "Children of Time")

Agricultural management

Many planetary governments had people or departments dedicated solely to agriculture:

Agricultural products

When the USS Enterprise visited the colony on Omicron Ceti III, they discovered no survivors, but records for the expedition die "indicate that they did have some [animals] for breeding and food purposes. Apparently, none of them survived." (TOS: "This Side of Paradise")

Neelix told Tuvok in 2372, that he bred orchids like Tuvok did. (VOY: "Tattoo")
