Alpha Seven was the designation for a Maquis fighter piloted by Lieutenant Ro Laren during the joint Maquis attack of a Cardassian convoy in 2370.
Laren infiltrated the Maquis as a Federation secret agent in a plan to neutralize Maquis resistance. She informed the Maquis that convoy was transporting biogenic weapons which Cardassians intended to smuggle to Cardassian colonists in Demilitarized Zone. Lieutenant commander William Riker joined Laren in Alpha Seven, disguised as a Bajoran. Laren decided to join the Maquis, so she discovered a trap and beamed out to Alpha Nine. Riker was left in Alpha Seven and the ship was salvaged by the USS Enterprise-D. (TNG: "Preemptive Strike")
