I mean can't we write the star trek tos casting director and ask him???? Surely, he has it written down somewhere. I have a hunch that the actor who played Alvin might have been born in the 1800s ,since it is so rare for a Star Trek actor to be born then, we should go out of our way to find who he is so we can find out if he is on that list |

Alvin
Alvin was member of the Gamma Hydra IV expedition in 2267.
His dead body was discovered by Pavel Chekov following the Enterprise's arrival at the planet. The sight of Alvin's corpse frightened Chekov enough to trigger a sufficient amount of adrenalin in his system to make him immune to the effects of the aging disease that killed the expedition and threated the rest of the landing party. (TOS: "The Deadly Years")
