The Ansel Adams was a Federation Type 7 shuttlecraft that was in service in the 24th century, attached to the USS Enterprise-D. It was shuttlecraft 06, and was not equipped with warp drive.
In 2365, Q transported this shuttlecraft, along with Captain Jean-Luc Picard, to somewhere outside the sensor range of the Enterprise, causing the Enterprise bridge crew to initiate a frantic search for the craft. After Picard agreed to consider a request by Q, he returned the shuttle to the shuttlebay and Picard to the Enterprise. (TNG: "Q Who")
Early in 2366, the Ansel Adams was listed on the shuttlebay operations display as being refitted in Hangar 2. (TNG: "Evolution")
