Arakis Prime was the prime planet in the Arakis system. This system was located in the Delta Quadrant. The planet's surface was covered by magnesite dust, the atmosphere was composed of magnesium vapor, and crystalline glaciers could be found here.

The planet was visited by the USS Voyager in 2373, and was the site of one of The Doctor's earliest away missions. He fondly told Seven of Nine about the 'sheer beauty' of Arakis Prime in 2376. (VOY: "One Small Step")

This planet was visited between the stardates 50000 and 51000. Based on these stardates, according to a map seen in season 7 of Star Trek: Voyager, this planet was located between 50,000 and 40,000 light years from the galactic core. [1]
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on page 86, the Arakis system was a binary star system. Primary was a Class F star with a magnitude of +3, which was ten times brighter than Sol. Secondary was a Class F star.
