The Arcadian system was a star system with one inhabited planet, Motherlode.
The USS Enterprise visited the system in 2269 while attempting to locate Harry Mudd. (TAS: "Mudd's Passion")
In the final draft script of "Mudd's Passion", this star system was referred to as the "Acardian" system. Also, it was described as consisting of "a large planet circled by a ring and accompanied by a scatter of asteroids in its immediate vicinity."
It was possible that the Arcadians have some connection to this star system. The Arcadian system was not only featured in the novelization of "Mudd's Passion" but also that of "Once Upon a Planet" (which, in Star Trek Log 3, preceded "Mudd's Passion" and which refers to the inhabitants of the Arcadian system as "Arcadians"). The adaptation of "Mudd's Passion" referred to Motherlode as being the third planet in the system.
