The Arcadian system is a star system that contained at least one inhabited planet, Motherlode.
The USS Enterprise visited the system in 2269 while attempting to locate Harry Mudd. (TAS: "Mudd's Passion")

It was possible that the Arcadians have some connection to this star system. The Arcadian system was not only featured in the novelization of "Mudd's Passion" but also that of "Once Upon a Planet" (which, in Star Trek Log 3, precedes "Mudd's Passion" and which refers to the inhabitants of the Arcadian system as "Arcadians"). The adaptation of "Mudd's Passion" refered to Motherlode as being the third planet in the system.
