Archerite is a fictitious mineral invented by Andorian commander Shran. It is ostensibly of great value to the Andorian Mining Consortium.
In late 2153, while assisting the crew of the Enterprise in capturing a Xindi planet-killer prototype, Shran posed as a mining scout searching for a rare element. While quickly trying to think of a name for this element, he glanced at Enterprise captain Jonathan Archer and came up with the name "Archerite". (ENT: "Proving Ground")
