20th century map depicting the Arctic Circle region

The Arctic Circle was a line of latitude on Earth which marked the boundary between the North Pole, or Arctic regions, and regions south of the circle. The Arctic Circle went through several nations including Canada, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, and the United States of America. (TOS: "The Cage")

This line of latitude was identified on a political map of the North Pacific region. This map was accessed from the USS Enterprise library computer by the Talosians in 2254.

In 2153, Human scientists that were part of the Arctic Archaeology Team found the remains of a crashed Borg sphere and its occupants near the Arctic Circle. (ENT: "Regeneration")

The writers intended for the Borg remains to have just been discovered because a glacier had recently moved, uncovering it. (citation needededit)
