The Astral Queen was a Federation transport.
In 2266, Captain Jon Daily was the commanding officer. In that year, the Astral Queen was docked at the orbit station of Planet Q. The ship was scheduled to pick-up the Karidian Company of Players for transport to Benecia. When James T. Kirk decided that Anton Karidian, the company's headliner, warranted further investigation, he called in one of the favors owed him by the ship's captain. The Astral Queen thereby left Planet Q, forcing the theatrical troupe to seek passage on the USS Enterprise. (TOS: "The Conscience of the King")
In 2328, four individuals traveling from Planet Q to Tarsas IV were transferred via the Astral Queen, Lolita Fatjo on the SS Manoa, Jimmy Berndt on the SS Kogin, and John P. Farrell and Carl Banks on the SS Wisconsin. (TNG-R: "Inheritance", okudagram)
