The Astral Queen was a Federation transport that was in service in the mid-23rd century. During the 2260s, this starship was commanded by Captain Jon Daily.

In 2266, the Astral Queen was docked at an orbit station in orbit of the planet Q. The ship was scheduled to pick-up the Karidian Company of Players for transport to Benecia. When James T. Kirk decided that Anton Karidian, the company's headliner, warranted further investigation, he called in one of the favors owed him by the ship's captain. The Astral Queen thereby left Planet Q, forcing the theatrical troupe to seek passage on the USS Enterprise. (TOS: "The Conscience of the King")

The Astral Queen from Battlestar Galactica (2004), a series which involved several Star Trek alumni, was named after this ship.
