The planet Atalia VII was the site of a diplomatic conference in 2369. The conference was scheduled for months and was to have been attended by the USS Enterprise-D. Its participation was delayed when the ship became involved with the late Richard Galen's quest to decipher an ancient message coded in the genetic material of several Alpha and Beta Quadrant species.
