Auto repair station repairs itself

The Enterprise wasn't the end of the repair station.

The Automated repair station was a mysterious alien space station capable of automatically repairing vessels at remarkable speeds and catering to the needs of a vessel's crew.

This station was visited by the Earth spacecraft Enterprise in 2152, which had been in need of repairs following the Romulan minefield incident. The station began repairing the ship in record time, and it also was able to see to the needs of the crew, including the repairing of injuries, such as Malcolm Reed's leg wound.

However, upon investigation by the Enterprise crew, it was discovered that the station's power system was using the synaptic pathways of humanoid hosts to enhance its processing capabilities. It was accomplishing this task by integrating the hosts' synaptic brain functions into the station's computer core. The station had attempted to add Travis Mayweather to its collection of hosts.

After rescuing Mayweather, Captain Jonathan Archer and his crew were able to escape and destroy the station. However, unbeknownst to them, as they departed, the station began to repair itself. (ENT: "Dead Stop")

Abducted species

A species that closely resembles a Vaadwaur was also present. If this was indeed a Vaadwaur, it certainly opens up the history of this station to greater mystery.

Background

The station's computer voice was supplied by Star Trek: Voyager actress and "Dead Stop" director Roxann Dawson. She was not credited for the role.

Since the station is easily able to interface with, and repair any alien technology it encounters, coupled with the lingering shot of the Nomad space probe we see in Travis' quarters, it is possible that the repair station was built by the same alien race which constructed the Tan Ru probe. Tan Ru was able to meld itself with Nomad (possibly intentionally) and repair the damage caused by their collision.
