Azna was a food that could be served steamed, sautéed, rolloped, or fricasseed.

Azna was one of Jadzia Dax's favorite meals. In 2369, she recommended steamed azna to Benjamin Sisko, saying it would put years on his life. (DS9: "A Man Alone")

Steamed azna was one of the meals advertised in Deep Space 9's Replimat in early 2370. (DS9: "The Homecoming")

A recipe for azna, adapted for terrestrial kitchens, can be found in the Star Trek Cookbook.

In the Star Trek: The Next Generation eBook A Sea of Troubles, Lieutenant Sean Hawk claims that the steamed azna produced by the replicators on the USS Enterprise-E "needed work".
In the SCE eBook Security, Lieutenant Rao of the USS Musgrave is noted for making very good asna dumplings.
