The B'omar were a humanoid species native to the Delta Quadrant. Their government was known as the B'omar Sovereignty.

Generally difficult to deal with, the B'omar reluctantly allowed the Federation starship USS Voyager passage through their space in 2374, though only on the condition of following an extremely circuitous route that avoided all industrial areas and populated systems, maintaining a rather slow speed of warp 3 as well as passing through seventeen checkpoints for inspections. They were also dissuaded from any kind of exploration or unnecessary scans, and were required to keep their weapons systems offline.

The B'omar reacted violently when Seven of Nine commandeered a shuttlecraft and entered their space before negotiations were complete. Although Voyager was able to recover Seven, they were forced to go around B'omar territory.

The B'omar were neighbors of the Nassordin, with whom they were carrying out delicate trade negotiations. (VOY: "The Raven")

The B'omar were named by Bryan Fuller. He named them after a group of aliens, the "B'omarr", in the Star Wars film Return of the Jedi. (Information from Larry Nemecek)
