The B'omar were a humanoid species native to the Delta Quadrant. Their government was known as the B'omar Sovereignty.
Extremely officious and xenophobic, the B'omar reluctantly allowed the Federation starship USS Voyager passage through their space in 2374, though only on the condition of following an extremely circuitous route that avoided all B'omar planets and colonies, maintaining a rather slow speed of warp 3 as well as passing through seventeen checkpoints for inspections.
The B'omar reacted violently when Seven of Nine commandeered a shuttlecraft and entered their space before negotiations were complete. Although Voyager was able to recover Seven, they were forced to go around B'omar territory.
The B'omar were neighbors of the Nassordin, with whom they were carrying out delicate trade negotiations. (VOY: "The Raven")
