The Bajoran Choosing Ceremony was the process, primarily a vote among the Vedeks of the Vedek Assembly, by which the Bajoran Kai was chosen.
In 2370, Vedek Bareil was considered the likely winner to succeed Kai Opaka until allegations that he was a collaborator came to light. He subsequently dropped out of the race, and Vedek Winn became the new Kai of Bajor. (DS9: "The Collaborator")
