Bajoran interceptors were short-range light combat starships for use at sub-light speeds.
In 2370, several were appropriated by the Alliance for Global Unity and used in their attempted coup. (DS9: "The Circle", "The Siege")
Several years later, Kira Nerys used several during her stand-off with Senator Cretak over the existence of warheads at a Romulan military hospital on Derna, one of Bajor's moons. (DS9: "Shadows and Symbols")
