Bajoran sun

The Bajoran sun

USS Yukon tractored by the Defiant

The USS Defiant tractors the USS Yukon away from the Bajoran sun in 2373.

The Bajoran sun was the primary of the Bajoran planetary system.

The Bajorans used the light from the sun to power the solar sails in their lightships. (DS9: "Explorers", "Accession")

Kira Taban once planted a tree near the family home that blotted out the sun from view from Kira Nerys' window "for kellipates". (DS9: "Progress")

In 2373, Benjamin Sisko experienced a pagh'tem'far in which Bajor's sun was blocked from view from B'hala by a swarm of locusts. (DS9: "Rapture")

Several weeks later, a Founder posing as Deep Space 9's Dr. Bashir attempted to destroy the sun using a bomb composed of trilithium, tekasite and protomatter. (DS9: "By Inferno's Light")

In 2375, Sisko was visiting the Vedek Oram's monastery in Kendra Province when the sun set over the mountains. Sisko later decided to build his house there, so he could watch the sun set over the mountains every night. (DS9: "Penumbra")

According to Startrek.com, the primary was named Bajor. [1]
According to the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Technical Manual the proper name of the star is "Bajor-B'hava'el." This information is repeated in several other sources, including the Star Trek: Star Charts and the post-"What You Leave Behind" relaunch novels.
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on page 42, Bajor (B'hava'el) was a G2V star with an absolute magnitude of 4.7.
