Bareil Antos

Bareil Antos was a thief who escaped from the mirror universe, using a multidimensional transporter device. At first, he took Major Kira Nerys hostage in Ops, but soon released her when she informed him that his disruptor wasn't working. After that they became attracted to each other and had a brief romance. Bareil also had an experience with the Orb of Prophecy and Change. During his stay in our universe, many fellow Bajorans stared at him because he had a striking resemblance to the late Vedek. He wondered why they were all looking at him and Kira let him know about our Vedek. Later in Quark's Bar, he was drinking some alcoholic beverage and some Bajorans were staring on in bewilderment, knowing it would've been unthinkable for a Vedek to act like a drunken lowlife in that manner.

His true objective was to steal the Orb, which he would have used to unite his Bajor against the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. The plot was instigated by his lover, Intendant Kira, who joined him in the primary universe. However, at the last minute, Bareil stunned her and took her and himself back to the mirror universe, without the Orb. (DS9: "Resurrection")

Like his counterpart, Bareil Antos was played by Philip Anglim.
