Template:Realworld William Douglas "Bill" Oakley (1 April 1964 – 16 February 2004; age 39) was a well-known and respected comic book letter artist.
He attended the Joe Kubert School of Cartooning and Graphic Art in New Jersey before going on to work for both Marvel and DC Comics. In addition to lettering comics, he was an avid collector.
He lettered one issue of the DC Comics Star Trek line, DS9/TNG #4: "The Unseen Enemy". Beside this, he lettered hundreds of other issues in various titles for the major companies, including Batman, Superman, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Lobo, X-Men, and Supergirl.
