Henry Archer biography

An early draft of Henry Archer's biography

A biography was the written form of a person's life story. If the person wrote it him or herself, it was called an autobiography.

When Jack London conferred with Samuel Clemens about being literary partners in writing his life story in 1893, Clemens shared with London, "Young man, I have a maxim that I have always lived by. 'No one is more qualified to write your story than you are.'" (TNG: "Time's Arrow, Part II")

In 2152, a biography was being prepared on Henry Archer. His son, Captain Jonathan Archer was asked to write a short preface. He had some difficulty putting his thoughts into words, which was aggravated by a singularity's radiation. (ENT: "Singularity")

A biography was written on Doctor Paul Stubbs, which was not approved by him. It contained information on his strong-willed mother and was read by Wesley Crusher. (TNG: "Evolution")

A simple biography was written into many personnel files, including that of Senator Vreenak. (DS9: "In the Pale Moonlight")

In an alternate timeline, a notable biography was written on famed author Jake Sisko. This was written prior to 2450 and covered his scientific studies in 2422. (DS9: "The Visitor")

By 2370, Gideon Seyetik's autobiography had reached nine volumes and counting. (DS9: "Second Sight")
