He worked for Marvel Comics in the late 1970s and contributed covers to a few of their "Super Special" movie adaptations including Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Empire Strikes Back, and Star Trek: The Motion Picture. He also did cover art for most of their "Fireside Books" reprint series, a series that collected stories from monthly issues for Doctor Strange, Fantastic Four, and The Incredible Hulk for example. During his time at Marvel, he also did some cover art for Creepy magazine, a horror magazine.
