Lieutenant Boma was a Starfleet officer that served as an astrophysicist aboard the USS Enterprise under Captain James T. Kirk.
In 2267, Boma was aboard the Shuttlecraft Galileo assisting in collecting data on the Murasaki Effect. Boma openly disputed Commander Spock's orders following the shuttle's later crash on planet Taurus II. (TOS: "The Galileo Seven")
- In two non-canon Star Trek novels written by Diane Carey, Dreadnought! and Battlestations!, a "rehabilitated" Boma is a major character involved in unethical weapons research.
- Boma was played by actor Don Marshall.
