Bozeman, Montana is a small town located in the western part of the North American continent on Earth. The town was the location of a missile complex from which Zefram Cochrane launched his prototype warp ship, the Phoenix. When a passing Vulcan scoutship, the T'Plana-Hath, detected the Phoenix's warp signature, it altered course and landed in Bozeman, making First Contact with Humanity on April 5, 2063. A statue of Cochrane was erected near the launch site, commemorating this event. (Star Trek: First Contact, ENT: "Carbon Creek")

Later, the Warp Five Complex was constructed outside the town. (ENT: "Singularity")

In the mirror universe, Bozeman is the location where Zefram Cochrane and his murderous cohorts kill the Vulcans and steal the T'Plana-Hath, presumably accelerating humanity's technological advancement. (ENT: "In a Mirror, Darkly")

The USS Bozeman was named in this city's honor. (TNG: "Cause and Effect")

Bozeman is the hometown of Trek writer Brannon Braga.
