Brian Tochi (born 2 May 1963; age 60) is the actor who played the role of Ray Tsing Tao in the Star Trek: The Original Series episode "And the Children Shall Lead". Almost twenty-three years later, he appeared in the Star Trek: The Next Generation fourth season episode "Night Terrors" as Ensign Kenny Lin. He filmed his scenes for "Night Terrors" on Monday 14 January 1991 on Paramount Stage 8.

Born as Brian Keith Tochihara and as a native of Los Angeles, California, Tochi has starred in both television and in film; on TV, he is best known for his role on the 1980s TV series St. Elsewhere, playing Dr. Alan Poe from 1984-1985. In 1977, he starred with Jonathan Harris and his Trek co-star Pamelyn Ferdin in the series Space Academy. In addition, he has done many voice overs for cartoons, film, and video games.

Tochi is also well-known for his role as Toshiro Takashi in the 1984 hit comedy movie Revenge of the Nerds (with James Cromwell and Bernie Casey). He reprised his role as Takashi in the 1992 TV movie Revenge of the Nerds III: The Next Generation (with Cromwell, Casey, and Clancy Brown) and in the 1994 TV movie Revenge of the Nerds IV: Nerds In Love (with Casey, Cromwell and Robert Picardo).

In 1990, he starred in the movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as the voice of Leonardo, a mutant turtle; he reprised his role as Leonardo in its sequels Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze (1991, with Michelan Sisti, Frank Welker, David Warner, Lee Spencer,and Lisa Chess) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993).

Tochi starred in the 1986 comedy movie Police Academy 3: Back In Training as Nogata and he reprised his role in Police Academy 4: Citizens On Patrol (1987). Both films featured David Graf and Arthur Batanides.
