Bridge is a card game played by four players.
In bridge, the dealer (or his partner) are responsible for calling trump. Whomever calls trump then proceeds to play his (and his partner's) hand against the other two players. At the end of the hand, whomever collects the most tricks successfully wins the hand.
The crew of Regula I, including David and Carol Marcus, played bridge after dinner during their free time. The two usually teamed up together. (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan)
