In 2367, the Cardassians utilized supply ships that ran with high energy subspace fields in order to jam the sensors of any ship that attempted to scan them. Although the Cardassians claimed that these vessels were used to carry scientific equipment for their research stations, the Federation suspected they were actually used to transport weapons.
