One day he was on set doing a Star Trek episode and someone left him tied up on the bridge. He was exposed to high amounts of UV radiation. His face was severely disfigured. He won a half a million dollar lawsuit, much of which was spent on cutting the side of his mouth open, giving him false teeth, and repairing his skin so he could be beautiful once more. The incident severely compromised his vision, causing him to hallucinate. One day he was riding his bike and he discovered a grizzly bear. In fright he punched it in the face, and the grizzly bear revealed itself to be a man. His wife deemed him insane, and left him. Ever since then he has gained more control over his hallucinations.
