Cernan's name appears on the mission patch of the Charybdis
Cernan was a crewmember aboard the 21st century NASA explorer ship Charybdis, launched on July 23, 2037. Cernan was among the crew killed when the ship was swept off course by an unknown alien force. (TNG: "The Royale")
The mission patch for the Charybdis is the actual mission patch for the Apollo 17 mission, taking the last men to the Moon. Eugene Cernan was the mission commander and the last man to walk on the Moon.
