Charles David "Chuck" Menville (17 April 194015 June 1992; age 52) was an American television writer. He wrote the Star Trek: The Animated Series second season episode "The Practical Joker", and co-wrote "Once Upon a Planet" with Len Janson. Menville and Janson were nominated for an Oscar in 1968, for their short film titled Stop Look and Listen, a stop-motion animated story.

Menville wrote for several other Filmation series including Ark II and Shazam!. He died on 15 June 1992 in Malibu, California, USA. He is survived by his son, voice actor Scott Menville.
