A compressed tetryon beam weapon was a type of tetryon-based directed energy weapon.
In 2370, Trazko presumably used such a weapon to shoot Quark at point-blank range, though it didn't kill him. Odo suspected this weapon type, because the security sensors weren't triggered. (DS9: "Necessary Evil")
