Ensign Cook was a Starfleet officer serving aboard the Enterprise NX-01 during its historic mission of exploration.
In 2152, Charles Tucker, Enterprise's chief engineer, ordered Ensign Cook to locate two other engineers and assist him in re-initiating the warp core, as he was short-handed due to various crewmembers having been taken over by non-corporeal lifeforms known as "Wisps." Working with Commander Tucker, Cook prepared to calibrate Enterprise's dilithium matrix. (ENT: "The Crossing")
