Cristine Rose (born 31 January 1951; age 73) is an actress who played the role of Gi'ral in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes "Birthright, Part I" and "Birthright, Part II".

Rose was born in Lynwood, California. Her extensive television credits include recurring roles on such shows as Picket Fences (co-starring with Roy Brocksmith, Bruce Gray, Leigh Taylor-Young, and Ray Walston), Grace Under Fire (with Paul Dooley), and Providence (with Michael Reilly Burke, Bob Morrisey, Tim Ransom, and Concetta Tomei). She also starred as Barbara Bueller on the short-lived Ferris Bueller, based on the film featuring Alan Ruck. The series also starred Richard Riehle.

Rose made her TV debut playing Jackie Kennedy in the 1977 telefilm The Trial of Lee Harvey Oswald, co-starring fellow Star Trek alumni Ellen Geer and Lawrence Pressman. Since then, her career has amassed nearly 100 film and TV credits.

She has co-starred with several Star Trek regulars in a number of non-Trek projects. In 1985, she appeared with future Star Trek: Deep Space Nine star Avery Brooks in an episode of Spenser: For Hire. Twenty years later, she appeared with original series star William Shatner and Deep Space Nine's Rene Auberjonois in an episode of Boston Legal. She also appeared with Star Trek: Voyager star Robert Beltran in an episode of Models Inc. in 1994. Oddly enough, she has not yet appeared with any regular TNG cast member outside of TNG.

Her many other credits include appearances on St. Elsewhere (along with Ed Begley, Jr., Ronny Cox, Norman Lloyd, France Nuyen, William Sadler, Jennifer Savidge, Alfre Woodard, and Jane Wyatt), TV 101 (with Ron Canada and Leon Russom), Newhart, Murphy Brown, Life Goes On (with Ray Buktenica and Bill Smitrovich), Growing Pains, L.A. Law (with Corbin Bernsen and Larry Drake), Empty Nest, Party of Five, ER, C-16: FBI (with Zach Grenier, Gregory Itzin, and Glenn Morshower), The King of Queens, Beverly Hills, 90210, Charmed, Six Feet Under (with Joanna Cassidy and Robert Foxworth), The Agency (with Ed Begley, Jr., David Clennon, Ronny Cox, and Lawrence Pressman), Malcolm in the Middle, Philly (with Jim Beaver, Ron Canada, Bill Cobbs, Alan Dale, and Deborah Lacey), The Practice (with Bill Smitrovich), Gilmore Girls (with Mädchen Amick and Biff Yeager), 7th Heaven (with Stephen Collins and Catherine Hicks), Two and a Half Men, Friends (with Gregory Itzin), and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. She has also appeared in a few films; most notable among them are Ishtar (1987), Judgment in Berlin (1988, with Harris Yulin), The Last Time I Committed Suicide (1997), and What Women Want (2000).

Other Star Trek performers Rose has worked with include Bibi Besch (on The Jeff Foxworthy Show and in the 1990 TV movie Extreme Close-Up, along with Richard Libertini), Olivia d'Abo (on The Wonder Years), Daniel Davis (on The Nanny), Miguel Ferrer (on Crossing Jordan), Stan Ivar (on Ally McBeal), Tim Kelleher (on Navy NCIS), John Larroquette (on Night Court), John Schuck (on Diagnosis Murder), Wallace Shawn (on the Clueless TV series), Vanessa Williams (on Chicago Hope), William Windom (on Murder, She Wrote), and Jason Wingreen (on Matlock).

Rose currently appears Angela Petrelli, mother of Nathan and Peter Petrelli, on the NBC series Heroes. Among the other Star Trek performers working on this series or who have appeared on the show in the past are Zachary Quinto, Greg Grunberg, George Takei, Nichelle Nichols, Malcolm McDowell, Erick Avari, Joanna Cassidy, Michael Dorn, and Dominic Keating. A recurring player in the first two seasons, Rose is a regular cast member for the third season.

In 2008 she appeared in the drama Float alongside Gregory Itzin. Kyla Kuhner served as co-producer for this independent film.
