A cucumber sandwich was a sandwich type of British origin, made out of bread and cucumber.
Within the holoprogram Janeway Lambda one, Henry Burleigh appreciated cucumber sandwiches with his tea, but his sister Beatrice did not as she didn't like the way the cooks cut them.
When experiencing visions caused by the Bothans in 2372, Kathryn Janeway falsely thought that Neelix had prepared cucumber sandwiches, but he did not even know what cucumber sandwiches were. (VOY: "Persistence of Vision")
