Crewman Cunningham was a member of the crew of the Enterprise NX-01 during its historic mission of exploration, during which he worked in the ship's galley, in a support capacity for Chef.

In 2152, after Chef took ill, Cunningham assisted Ensign Sato in cooking for the crew. Cunningham experienced difficulty in convincing Sato to actually serve the crew their lunch, however, as she had come under the influence of an exotic form of radiation emanating from a black hole which caused irrational and obsessive behavior, affecting Sato in such a way as she continually prepared the same meal over and over again, feeling that she was not getting the oden recipe right. (ENT: "Singularity")

Later that year, Cunningham was one of the crewmembers who took refuge in the maintenance shaft running the length of one of Enterprise's nacelles, attempting to protect themselves from the non-corporeal lifeforms known only as "Wisps." While there, he asked Ensign Mayweather how long he thought they would have to stay there, and assisted him in locating Commander Tucker. (ENT: "The Crossing")

In 2153, while they were waiting to catch up to an Earth vessel which had been taken over by aliens, Subcommander T'Pol informed Captain Archer that she believed Cunningham was in the galley if he wanted something to eat, although Archer opted for a simple cup of coffee. (ENT: "Regeneration")

Cunningham was played by Matthew Kaminsky.
