In toxicology and cellular biology, a cytotoxin is a substance, such as a toxin or antibody, that has a toxic effect on cells.
When a cytoplasmic lifeform latched on to B'Elanna Torres in 2375, her cytotoxin levels began to get extremely high, causing her pulse to become rapid and irregular, to the point that she went into cytotoxic shock. (VOY: "Nothing Human")
