Shuttlecraft da Vinci
The da Vinci (SB4-0314⁄2) was a class F shuttlecraft assigned to Starbase 4 in 2268.
In that year, the Da Vinci was stolen by Lokai, a fugitive from the planet Cheron. Two weeks later, the USS Enterprise discovered the shuttle, near Ariannus, following an erratic course, with indications of an internal atmospheric leakage.
The Enterprise tractored the shuttle into its hangar deck, and took its thief into custody. (TOS: "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield")

The Starbase 4 shuttlecraft
In the original version of the episode, the flight of the shuttle is recycled footage of the Galileo from "The Galileo Seven". For the remastered version, CBS Digital crafted a CGI model with new registry and name.
The da Vinci was named after Leonardo da Vinci, a 15th century artist and scientist from Earth.
