A dagger was a type of knife.

In 2151, the Andorian commander Thy'lek Shran used a dagger to cut the ropes binding T'Pol's hands and legs, as well as Jonathan Archer's legs. (ENT: "Shadows of P'Jem")

Shran's dagger is not named on screen; the reference to it as a dagger comes from the final draft script for "Shadows of P'Jem".

Terrans of the mirror universe used a dagger impaling Earth as the symbol of their empire. Starfleet uniforms also featured a dagger as a standard accessory for over a hundred years. (ENT: "In a Mirror, Darkly"; DIS: "Despite Yourself"; TOS: "Mirror, Mirror", et al.)

Redjac used a curved dagger to murder two women, and tried to frame Montgomery Scott as the killer. (TOS: "Wolf in the Fold")

Nyota Uhura used a dagger to protect herself after she slapped the mirror universe Hikaru Sulu when he tried to kiss her. (TOS: "Mirror, Mirror")

Uhura was later holding a short Scottish dagger when she was talking to Captain James T. Kirk. (TOS: "Day of the Dove")

Elaan stabbed Ambassador Petri with her dagger, and later threw it at Captain Kirk; just before she left the Enterprise, she gave the dagger to Kirk. (TOS: "Elaan of Troyius")

Marta of Elba II had a dagger, with which she tried to stab Captain Kirk. (TOS: "Whom Gods Destroy")

Every Tamarian encountered by the crew of the USS Enterprise-D in 2368 owned a dagger, including their captain, Dathon. After the death of the Tamarian captain, the Tamarian first officer and his other officers performed a mourning ritual using their daggers. Some Tamarians also used their daggers for more mundane activities, such as gardening. (TNG: "Darmok"; LD: "Room for Growth")

In 2369, Vash secured a bronze and gold dagger, about twenty-five centimeters long, in a storage locker of the assay office aboard Deep Space 9. (DS9: "Q-Less")

Gul Madred owned a dagger with a jevonite handle. (TNG: "Chain Of Command, Part II")

The same year, the Bajoran Sirah apprentice Hovath used a Bajoran dagger when he tried to kill Miles O'Brien, due to being jealous of him. O'Brien and Julian Bashir were able to disarm him. (DS9: "The Storyteller")

Kainon used a small dagger to stab Aamin Marritza in the back on the Promenade. (DS9: "Duet")

In the early 2380s, Lieutenant junior grade Kayshon - the first Tamarian to serve in Starfleet - wore a sash containing his Tamarian dagger over his standard Starfleet uniform. (LD: "Kayshon, His Eyes Open", et al.) When the USS Cerritos was threatened by the possibility of Breen boarders, he brandished his dagger alongside a phaser in preparation of fighting them off. (LD: "Trusted Sources")
