Daran V was the inhabited fifth planet of the Daran system. This was the homeworld for the Daran V natives. In 2368, this planet had a population of 3.724 billion individuals.

Location

In 2293, the location of Daran V in the Milky Way Galaxy was labeled in a star chart that was in Captain James T. Kirk's quarters aboard the USS Enterprise-A. (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, okudagram)

In 2371, the location of Daran V was labeled in a star chart Data and Picard were studying in stellar cartography on the USS Enterprise-D. (Star Trek Generations, okudagram)

In 2376, the location of Daran V was labeled in a star chart in astrometrics on the USS Voyager. (VOY: "Child's Play", okudagram)

History

In 2268, the crew of the USS Enterprise discovered the 10,000 year-old Fabrini asteroid vessel, the Yonada, 396 days away from Daran V. The vessel had veered off course and was about to impact Daran V, killing all of the planet's population. Fortunately, the Yonada's course was altered away from Daran V by the actions of the crew of the Enterprise. (TOS: "For the World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky")

According to StarTrek.com, Daran V was a M-class Federation planet. [1]
