Darhe'el was a male Cardassian of the Cardassian military in the 24th century. By 2357, he had attained the rank of gul and was known as an important military leader.

In the 2350s, he served on Bajor during the Occupation of Bajor. In 2357, he was the commander of the Gallitep labor camp. Due to his brutal behavior and mistreatment of Bajoran laborers, he was nicknamed the "Butcher of Gallitep" by the Bajoran people. He was awarded the Proficient Service Medallion for his leadership in the camp. While he was on Cardassia receiving his medal, a mining accident at the camp affected his staff. While his staff and the Bajoran laborers present contracted Kalla-Nohra Syndrome, he would remain unaffected. Later that year, the Shakaar resistance cell liberated the camp.

Darhe'el died in his sleep in 2363 from a coleibric hemorrhage and was buried underneath one of Cardassia's largest monuments. Among those present at his funeral was Gul Dukat.

In 2369, a Cardassian file clerk named Aamin Marritza impersonated Darhe'el, hoping to be punished for not opposing the crimes committed during the occupation of Bajor. However, a medical history indicating treatment for Kalla-Nohra Syndrome and prescriptions for massive doses of Dermatiraelian plastiscine, a dermal regenerative agent taken after cosmetic surgery, proved that he was in fact the file clerk. (DS9: "Duet")
