David Oliver (31 January 196212 November 1992; age 30) was an actor who portrayed the holographic young man in the Star Trek: The Next Generation fifth season episode "Cost of Living" in 1992. He filmed his scenes for this episode on Wednesday 12 February 1992 and Thursday 13 February 1992 on Paramount Stage 16.

Oliver was born in Concord, California and started his career in the early 1980s with guest roles in episodes of Tucker's Witch (1982, with Catherine Hicks and Alfre Woodard), Go (1983), Another World (1983-1985), and Lady Blue (1985).
