David Sobolov (born 23 October 1964; age 59) is a Canadian actor best known for his voice work in various television series, films, and video games. In addition to providing the voice of Slar in the Star Trek: Enterprise fourth season episode "In a Mirror, Darkly, Part II", he was one half of the Klingon voices in Star Trek Into Darkness, along with Fred Tatasciore. Sobolov has played hundreds of characters in television animation, video games, and films. He voiced Shockwave in Transformers Prime, Lobo in the DC Nation, the animated Drax (Guardians of the Galaxy) in the Marvel Universe, and Tatsurion Bob in Kaijudo for Hasbro Studios. He was the voice of Depthcharge in the classic Beast Wars Transformers series, Lt. Vasquez in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Azomodan in Diablo III, Jul M'Dama in Halo 4, Dr. Garret Bryson in Mass Effect 3, and the classic good guy Robocop in the MGM animated series Robocop Alpha Commando. His face and voice were featured in the performance capture role of Rios in Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel.
Among his film work is Unforgettable (1996, with Kim Cattrall, Christopher McDonald, and Azalea Davila).
Sobolov studied acting with Sanford Meisner at New York's Neighborhood Playhouse.
