Template:Realworld Dawn Brown Manser (sometimes credited simply as Dawn Brown) is a Hollywood set designer who worked on Star Trek. She also designed the sets for 1998's Star Trek World Tour under production designer Herman Zimmerman.

Born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas, Brown graduated from the University of Kansas with a BFA degree in illustration/graphic design in 1991. Afterward, she moved to Los Angeles, California, and has since worked on over thirty film and television projects.

She started her career as an art department assistant on the science fiction series seaQuest DSV during its first season. She then coordinated the art department for the 1995 film Lord of Illusions, starring Star Trek: Enterprise's Scott Bakula.

Her early set design work included several episodes of the popular 1990s television series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (starring Teri Hatcher as Lois Lane) and at least one episode of NBC's long-running drama, ER. She later designed some of the permanent sets for the television series Timecop and Once and Again. She more recently worked on NBC's Crossing Jordan.

Brown was hired to create designs on the film Superman Lives for director Tim Burton, but this film was never produced. Nonetheless, she again worked with Burton on his films Planet of the Apes and Big Fish.

In addition, Brown designed sets for such films as The X-Files, Charlie's Angels, A.I. Artificial Intelligence, Ocean's Eleven and Ocean's Thirteen. She also worked on 2002's The Master of Disguise, starring Star Trek: The Next Generation's Brent Spiner, and 2005's The Island, written by Star Trek scribes Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci and featuring Star Trek: Voyager's Ethan Phillips.

Star Trek will be Brown's fifth project working under Supervising Art Director Keith Cunningham after Steven Soderbergh's Ocean's Eleven and Solaris, David Fincher's Zodiac (which featured Zach Grenier, John Carroll Lynch, and Matt Winston), and re-shoots for Doug Liman's Mr. & Mrs. Smith (which, like Star Trek, features Jennifer Morrison and costumes designed by Michael Kaplan). Brown and Cunningham first worked together as set designers on Joel Schumacher's Batman & Robin.

In addition to set design, Brown writes and illustrates comic books, having created the acclaimed, award-winning Little Red Hot for Image Comics and the graphic novel Ravenous. She also worked on a number of issues for Vampirella.

Since working on Star Trek, Brown designed sets for the upcoming thriller The Informant, the second film she has worked on which starred Scott Bakula. In addition, she has provided concept art for the upcoming, highly-anticipated films Watchmen (starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Stephen McHattie, and Matt Frewer) and Terminator: Salvation (which, like Star Trek, stars Anton Yelchin).

According to the Internet Movie Database, Brown also worked as a set designer on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. This has yet to be confirmed. If true, however, it would be the third film written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci on which she has worked, after The Island and Star Trek.
