Dayos IV was the inhabited fourth planet of the Dayos system.

In 2363, the planet was the home of a former wife to the Albino when she was discovered by Kang. She was still deathly afraid of her ex-husband and refused to reveal his whereabouts to the vengeful Klingon. In 2370 she died, but not before dispatching her locket to Kang disclosing the location of the Albino's sanctuary in the Secarus system. (DS9: "Blood Oath")

Miles O'Brien's Starfleet Intelligence created alias of Connelly, a down on his luck fix-it man, got two years for dealing in stolen goods on the planet. Liam Bilby sympathized with "Connelly" while discussing his past, and regarded the incident as a "tough break." (DS9: "Honor Among Thieves")

"DA-yos" was the pronunciation for this planet's name from the script pronunciation guide for "Blood Oath". [1]

According to the Star Trek: Star Charts (pg. 64), the Dayos system was located in or near to Klingon space, in the Beta Quadrant. The system was a single star system. Primary was a Class G star with a magnitude of +7, which was 1/10 as bright as Sol.
