Demmas was the hier and next in line to become the Autarch of LLari. His father was killed by Tiernn, a tryannt who could transport his mind into someone else's body. Demmas fled the planet and enlisted the aid of Voyager. Voyager was able to depose Tieran who had taken over the body of Kes, and Demmas became the Autarch.
